NWP Project 20.3 Corridor-wide Common Data Exchange of Road Closures Demonstration will implement TIMs exchanges to the SDX. While the initial goal of Project 20.3 was that NWP members would modify local ATMS/ATIS systems to generate and send TIMs to the SDX, it is likely that one or more NWP states will not implement the generation of TIMs and push to the SDX. For these members, the Trihydro Corvus System is an option to convert event reports in the data feeds to TIMs and insert the TIMs into the SDX. This project will fund these ongoing operations of the Corvus ingest and conversion into TIMs (expected for 1-3 NWP member states). Outside of the NWP Project 20.3, there are the parallel I-80 Corridor and I-35 Corridor activities, both of which are planning (not yet confirmed) to populate the SDX with TIMs. The combined efforts of these three corridors will enable a thorough understanding of the impacts of this large number of states all populating the SDX with common messages to understand the use from 3rd Party Information and Navigation Systems.
